Anywho, today the car got towed to my parents' house.

We just have to wait for the crackhead neighbor to comeout of his stupor and git to work.

Really, what's the world coming to when you have to rely on talented crackheads to fix a car?

 

I was watching African American lives on PBS last night.

They featured traced the geneologies of Whoopie Goldberg & Oprah Winfrey.

Seems that making a way out of no way runs in the family for both of them.  Score.

 

What surprised me most was the candor in which  their stories were told.

They didn't try to sugar coat anything nor did they leave any detail overlooked.

It made me want to research my heritage back to the slavery days.

If only to answer the question about my origins....

A lot of masters didn't even know/care what part of Afrika their negroes came from.

So how do I know that my family tree even started in Afrika?

I could be Cuban for all I know...

 

One man from Senegal did say that I looked like royalty.
